My installation project Elephant Meditations tells the story of an organism somewhere between organic and synthetic. A being that is discovered in a long abandoned laboratory, after 100 years without human interaction. This organism is now a large yellow inflatable that appears to be breathing arrhythmically. It swells and deflates producing alarming sounds.

Elephant Meditations was born from an idea that incorporated the image of an abandoned sonic laboratory 100 years in the future. In these environments was born and we discovered a yellow organism, a mixture of artificial and organic. Its vitality is interpreted as the organism inflating and deflating as if it were somehow breathing and emitting sounds of strong wind that are hypnotic at the same time. These lightweight constructions are then inflated with powerful air blowers and controlled by a DIY relay system, to turn them on and off automatically.
